PART 1 - Can anyone do CrossFit? 🤔

I want to talk to you about CrossFit. You may have heard of it, as of right now you might even be sitting on the fence trying to decide if you should give it a try. It seems each day, CrossFit is growing on social media, and as it grows, and evolves as a sport. The fear of CrossFit has grown also.

As an experienced CrossFitter…if I can call myself that! I do forget about the first days I tried CrossFit, walking into a local CF gym, the unknown, the look and smell, ropes coming down from the rafters, the abused barbells, the massive pull-up rig. Wondering what the hell am I getting myself into. Then it hits me, the anxiety and intimidation I felt knowing I’m about to be surrounded by absolute strangers. Those first couple weeks of stress “Am I lifting this right??” and that feeling of “Everyone here is fitter than me.” A few more weeks later, several kettlebell swings, pull-ups, box jumps and various other movements I have never done before, I was addicted! Making life-long friends with those whom were complete strangers just a blink ago and quickly becoming that guy at the party who doesn’t shut-up about CrossFit.

Now thou, CrossFit is a massive part of my life going from the dreaded term “newbie” to coach and owner of CrossFit Life CSP, it’s a place I feel confident, happy! A second home away from home, a feeling that is shared amongst those around me. I can consider myself very fortunate because not only through CF did I discover a completely new view on life, but also found a way to live and follow my passion, to help and inspire other people to a healthier and happier life. On my way there I learned so much about self-love, sports and nutrition. And that is exactly what I want to share with you.

It’s hard to really understand why people are so afraid to try it. So over the next few weeks I will be posting a mini-blog if you will, with some common misconceptions that keep people from giving CrossFit it a try! e.g. I need to be fit to start CrossFit.

Hopefully by the end, it might encourage you to give it a try! So make sure to Follow us to not miss out!
