Trail Mix Clusters

A sugar-free and gluten-free snack that's easy to make and versatile.

I recommend using Lewis Wholesome Foods NAS (no added sugar) chocolate buds and yoghurt buttons.

Recipe 1 - Chocolate, Almond & Cranberry Clusters

Dry Mix:

  • 2 tbs Pepitas

  • 1 tbs chia seeds

  • 1tbs sunflower seeds

  • 1/2 cup nuts (i have used whole raw almonds and almond slithers, you can use any combination of nuts you like)

  • 2 tbs unsweetened desiccated coconut

  • 3 tbs cranberries (you can use any small or chopped dried fruit).

Other:

  • 1/2 cup NAS Chocolate buds

Method:

I a microwave safe bowl melt the chocolate by microwaving in 30 second stints mixing in between as to not burn the chocolate. Once completely melted add the dry mix to the melted chocolate and stir well. Spread Mix flat on a sheet of baking paper and set in the fridge.

Cut/break into bite size pieces. Store in the fridge.

 

Recipe 2 - Yoghurt, Almond and Apricot Clusters

Dry Mix:

  • 2 tbs Pepitas

  • 1 tbs chia seeds

  • 1tbs sunflower seeds

  • 1/2 cup nuts (i have used whole raw almonds and almond slithers, you can use any combination of nuts you like)

  • 6 chopped dried apricots

Other:

  • 3/4 cup NAS Yoghurt buttons

Method:

I a microwave safe bowl melt the yoghurt by microwaving in 30 second stints mixing in between as to not burn it. Once completely melted add the dry mix to the melted yoghurt buttons and stir well. Spread Mix flat on a sheet of baking paper and set in the fridge.

Cut/break into bite size pieces. Store in the fridge.

Efficiency tip! You can make both at the same time :-)
